Hello there! We are Tiffiney & Diego, together we are Spanish Peak Productions.
Partners in business and life, we make our home in the Sierra Nevada mountains, near Lake Tahoe, but our work and incurable wanderlust, take us all over this beautiful planet of ours.
Adventures and die-hard mountain lovers ourselves, we feel so blessed to be able to share and capture your love story in some of the most unique and isolated regions of the California and beyond. As cheesy as it sounds, there’s an energy about weddings, that makes us fall in love all over again!
The inspiration for “Spanish Peak Productions,” came from our own love story which began in the Spanish Pyrenees, and the name of our favorite backcountry ski stash in our Northern California home.
How We Work
We use professional, yet lightweight equipment that is designed for travel and remote locations. We’re able to work in places that a larger, more bulky setup doesn’t allow. As an athlete and a Certified Drone Pilot, Diego is also not afraid to scale a mountain or plunge into a canyon—whatever it takes to get the shot! As a former wedding coordinator, Tiffiney, is great at making sure we capture all the moments you can cherish forever. As people lovers, we consider it our job to help you forget about the camera and simply enjoy your day.
Our Equipment
We film with ultra high-definition 4K cameras, a 4K aerial drone and all professional audio. Our films are edited with cutting edge software used for documentary quality films. As a former team member of ESPN Latin America, Diego is a stickler for quality at every stage of the process.
Meet Diego
Filmmaker
Entirely self taught, Diego’s obsession with film and photography was born from his first love— big mountain skiing in Argentina.
As one of the few English-speaking local with first hand knowledge of the unpredictable terrain, he found his niche by guiding and scouting locations for professional skiers and film crews. This later led to an opportunity with ESPN Latin America, which would send the twenty-something all over the world as TV host by day, and a skier in every other spare moment. Wanting to document his own stunts as well as his friends, he soaked up all the filming and post production editing techniques he could during his time with ESPN.
That was two decades ago, and his love affair with film hasn’t waned.
Diego’s agility and gregarious personality take him everywhere most cameramen/women won’t go. Be it scaling a mountain, or plunging down a canyon, Diego’s committed to getting the shot. And when he can’t get himself to the heights he craves, he’s a certified drone pilot.
Meet Tiffiney
Storyteller
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a love affair with stories and words.
As the only child left at home, with no TV or neighbor kids to play with, books became my portal to the outside world.
From those early years, I understood the power of stories to transport us into other people’s experiences, and the connection that offers.
With a BA in Communications, and an eclectic background ranging from Marketing Coordinator at Whole Foods Market, to a Journalist at a weekly newspaper, stories have always been at the center of what I do.
Walt Disney once said, “There’s no magic in magic. it’s in the details,” and that is my secret to great storytelling.
